Percentage Calculator
Four blocks, four common percentage questions. Type in your numbers and the answer appears โ no mental arithmetic needed. Your input stays in your browser.
Formula: A รท B ร 100
Formula: B ร A รท 100
Formula: (B โ A) รท A ร 100
Formula (increase): A ร (1 + P รท 100)ใใ(decrease): A ร (1 โ P รท 100)
How to Use the Percentage Calculator
There are four independent calculation blocks. Simply type numbers into the fields of the block you need โ results appear in real time (there's no button to press; the answer updates the moment you type). Each result includes a copy button so you can grab the answer quickly. You can also click one of the "Examples (click to try)" chips at the top to fill in sample values and see the result right away.
For example, say you want to know the sale price of a $1,000 item at 20% off. In block โฃ, enter 1000 for A and 20 for P, then set the operation to "Decrease" โ the result shows 800 (= 1,000 ร (1 โ 20 รท 100)). If you instead want the discount amount itself ($200), enter A=20 and B=1000 in block โก, and it shows 200.
- โ What percent is A of B: Find the ratio as a percentage. Example: 75 out of 300 โ 25%
- โก What is A% of B: Find the actual value from a percentage. Example: 30% of 2,000 โ 600
- โข Percentage change: Find how much a value changed, expressed as a percentage. Example: 1,000 โ 1,200 โ 20% increase
- โฃ After % increase/decrease: Find the result of applying a percentage increase or decrease. Example: 5,000 with a 20% discount โ 4,000
