  2. Test settings on one image and inspect details, transparency, and color.
  3. Confirm exported pixel dimensions and file size.
  4. Open the result in a second viewer and check for private details or metadata before publishing.

Before you start

  • JPEG recompression is lossy, so preserve the original file.
  • Converting transparency to JPEG requires a background color.
  • Very large images or large batches can exceed browser memory.

Frequently asked questions

Are images uploaded to a server?
No. The selected image is loaded and processed in your browser; the file itself is not uploaded to Benri.dev's servers.
Does an export preserve all original quality and information?
Not always. Resizing, lossy compression, and conversion can change pixels or color, and rewriting a file can omit metadata. Keep the source separately and inspect the exported file.
