How to add a watermark
Pick an image and the preview shows the watermark on top. Changing the text, opacity, or size updates it live, so you can judge the look before saving as PNG. Loading and compositing stay in your browser.
- Choose an image with "Choose image", or try "Sample image" if it is your first time.
- Type the watermark text (e.g.
SAMPLE,© 2026 Benri.dev,CONFIDENTIAL). - Adjust opacity and size with the sliders to dial in the look.
- Download to save the watermarked PNG.
Examples
- Photo before posting → overlay
© 2026 Benri.devat opacity 40 to discourage reuse. - Design mockup in progress → drop a large
DRAFTin the center to mark it as non-final. - Confidential document image → make
CONFIDENTIALstand out at opacity 60. - Bright photo → white text with a black outline stays readable even on light backgrounds.
- Sample image (800×600) → check the default look at size 36, opacity 40.
For power users
- Text, opacity, and size update live, so you can drag the sliders to find the right strength.
- The watermark uses white text with a semi-transparent black outline, readable on light or dark backgrounds.
- Output is PNG, so any transparency in the original is preserved.
FAQ
Is my image sent to a server?
No. Loading and compositing both run in your browser; the image is never transmitted or stored externally. As long as you keep the page open, it keeps working if your connection drops.
Is the watermark placed in the center?
Yes. The text is drawn centered over the image. The opacity and size sliders let you make it prominent or subtle.
Is the watermark hard to remove?
The text is drawn in white with a semi-transparent black outline, so it reads on light or dark backgrounds. Being centered, it is not trivially cropped out, but this is not tamper-proof protection.
What format is saved?
It saves as PNG, which keeps any transparency from the original and renders the outlined text crisply.
Why is the watermark still small at maximum size?
The size slider sets the font size in the pixels of the original image, and it stops at 120px. On a 4000px-wide photo that is only about 3% of the width, so it looks tiny. Resize the long edge to around 1200px first, or type a longer string so the single line covers more of the width.
Can I change the position or angle of the watermark?
No. The text is always drawn as one horizontal line in the center. Tiled diagonal watermarks, corner placement and logo images are not supported. There is no wrapping either, so a string wider than the image is cut off at both edges.
