How to Use the Running Pace Calculator

Enter distance (km) and time (minutes), or pick an example. Pace (min/km) and speed (km/h) update instantly, and below them you get projected finish times for 5K, 10K, half and full at the same pace. Enter long times in minutes (e.g. 1h50m = 110).

Examples

  • 10km in 50min โ†’ 5:00/km ยท 12.00 km/h
  • 5km in 25min โ†’ 5:00/km ยท 12.00 km/h
  • Half in 1h50m (110min) โ†’ about 5:13/km
  • Full in 4h (240min) โ†’ about 5:41/km (the sub-4 pace)
  • At 5:00/km the table shows 5K=25:00, 10K=50:00, Half=1:45:29, Full=3:30:59 at once

When It Helps

  • Checking the pace needed for a 5K, 10K, half marathon or marathon goal.
  • Converting a training run into min/km pace and km/h speed.
  • Estimating finish times if you hold the same average pace for a longer race.
