Split PDF
Split one PDF by page ranges, into single pages, or every N pages, and export several PDFs. You can also extract just the pages you need. Loading and splitting both happen entirely in your browser, so you can handle confidential documents without ever uploading them.
Drag & drop a PDF, or click to choose
Load one PDF. It is processed on your device only and never leaves it.
How to split a PDF
Load one PDF, choose a split method, and press “Split & download”. Everything is processed on your device, so your file is never sent anywhere.
- Load a PDF: drop it on the box or click to choose. The page count appears once it loads.
- Choose a method: By page range (enter ranges like
1-3, 5, 8-10, and each range becomes one PDF) / One page each (every page as its own PDF) / Every N pages (fixed-size chunks from the start). - Split & download: a single output downloads as one PDF; multiple outputs download together as one ZIP.
Handy for
- Pulling just the chapters or pages you need out of one large PDF
- Breaking a scanned, multi-page document into one file per page
- Cutting a document into fixed-size chunks to share or submit more easily
- Handling contracts or confidential material you'd rather not upload to an online splitter
Splitting pulls the original pages into new PDFs as-is. Password-protected or corrupted PDFs may fail to load. Splitting a PDF with very many pages into single pages can create a large number of files and strain your device.
FAQ
Are my PDFs sent to a server?
No. Loading and splitting both happen entirely in your browser (on your device), and your PDFs are never transmitted to or stored on any server. You can split confidential documents and contracts without uploading them. Once the page has loaded it even works offline.
Can I extract only specific pages?
Yes. In “Split by page range”, enter just the pages you want. For example, 5 extracts page 5 only, and 2-4 extracts pages 2 to 4 as a single PDF.
How are the split files saved?
When the result is a single PDF, it downloads directly. When it splits into several files, they download together as one ZIP. Each file is named after the original plus its page numbers (for example report_p1-3.pdf).
Can I split password-protected PDFs?
PDFs protected with an open password, or corrupted files, may fail to load. In that case, remove the password first and then load the file. PDFs with only editing restrictions can often still be split.
