Dice, Coin & Fortune

Roll dice, flip a coin, or draw a fortune (omikuji) — three ways to leave it to chance, in one place. Pick a mode in the segmented control above and press the button. Great for quick "which one?" decisions, board games and a bit of fun. Results are fairly random, and it all runs in your browser, so nothing leaves your device.

How to Use Dice, Coin & Fortune

Pick a mode in the segmented control above (Fortune, Dice or Coin) and press the draw / roll / flip button. The result appears in place, and "Again" lets you redo it as many times as you like. "Copy Result" puts the outcome on your clipboard as text.

  • Fortune: Draws one of Excellent, Great, Good, Fair, Small luck or Bad luck at random, along with a short message that matches the reading. For a daily luck check or a game's hit/miss roll.
  • Dice: Choose how many dice (1–5) and roll to see each die face (1–6) plus the total of all of them. For board games, snakes and ladders, or a tabletop RPG 2d6.
  • Coin: Picks Heads or Tails at random. Settle "who goes first?" or "should I or not?" in an instant.

Example: Roll two dice (2d6)

Switch to the "Dice" mode, set the number of dice to 2, and press "Roll dice". Two dice appear — say ⚄ 5 and ⚂ 3 — and the tool shows Total 8. Press "Again" for a fresh roll each time, so you can use it directly to move a board-game piece or make a tabletop check.

Example: Flip a coin to decide who goes first

In "Coin" mode, press "Flip a coin" and you get either Heads or Tails. Agree in advance — for example, "Heads means Alex goes first" — and the result becomes the referee. Want a redo? Just press "Again" to flip once more.

Where It Comes in Handy

  • Checking your luck for the day with a quick fortune
  • Playing a board game when there's no physical die around
  • Settling "which one?" with a fast Heads-or-Tails coin flip
  • Running a game's hit-or-miss roll or a small party raffle

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the results sent to a server?
No. The fortune, dice and coin draws all happen entirely in your browser (on your device). Results are never transmitted to or stored on any external server, and no network request is made. It even works offline.
Are the results fairly random?
Yes. We use the browser's random number generator (Math.random) so every outcome is equally likely. Each fortune, each die face from 1 to 6, and both sides of the coin appear without bias. The previous result has no effect on the next one.
How many dice can I roll at once?
You can roll one to five dice at the same time. Each die shows 1 to 6 with equal probability, and the total of all dice is shown too. Handy for board games and tabletop RPGs, such as 2d6 (two dice).
